Dear Prospective Parent,
Thank you for your interest in St. Theresa School. I have a strong belief in faith based education, being a product of the Catholic school system myself beginning in kindergarten through college. A native Chicagoan, moving to Palatine in 1997 with my husband, we have two children who attended St. Theresa School. I love most the camaraderie, friendships and deep bonds created throughout the years at STS. These are the intangibles that you cannot measure, but would have a void without them.
A St. Theresa School education transcends everyday school life, welcoming students and their families into a warm Catholic faith community. We are a school where your child will be safe and well cared for, but also flourish personally and intellectually. I look forward to getting to know your family throughout the application process.
The best way to understand what makes St. Theresa School unique is to see us in action during a school tour. Whether you are looking for preschool or kindergarten through 8th grade, you'll learn firsthand how faith and study infuses our classrooms.
Family is an integral part of a St. Theresa education, and we seek families who take a strong interest in their children's development and who will partner with us to support their children's education. We give priority to applicants whose siblings are current St. Theresa students.
Depending on your child's grade level, for proper placement, we may evaluate your application using grades or test results from previous schools. We encourage families who are new to the school community, especially students entering intermediate and middle school (grades 3-8) to schedule a shadow day. This is an opportunity for your child to experience St. Theresa School, and interact with teachers and fellow students.
