I have been a parishioner at St. Theresa for 30 years and  all three of our daughters are STS graduates!  A second career educator, my journey into education began many years ago when I was a parent here, often subbing  for St. Theresa teachers.  Discovering teaching is more fun than being a CPA:),

I earned a Master of Special Education degree, as well as, becoming a National Board Certified Teacher.  I have been a special education teacher at Huntley High School for the previous 14 years, instructing students in self-contained programs, co-teaching in general education classes, and supporting students with accommodations as their case manager.

I am Truly blessed to be part of an exceptional team of dedicated teachers,  I look forward to collaborating with students and parents to provide another dimension of education at St. Theresa.

My love for God, children, and teaching has presented me with this wonderful opportunity to continue my teaching career here at St. Theresa. I began my teaching career in the Chicago Catholic Schools. Then taught 3rd grade in D62 for many years. Now, I have come full circle back to the Catholic Schools and am so excited to be a part of the STS Faculty as a resource teacher.

A primary goal for me is to ensure that students understand the importance of learning and assist them with the tools to beccome successful in the classroom. "Teachers who love teaching, teach children to love learning."

As an educator, reading and literacy instruction have always been my passion. I find reading to be invaluable because it carries over to all other subjects, and I find great fulfillment in helping students develop the skills to make them successful readers.  I believe that teaching children to overcome their challenges through a combination of academic instruction and spiritual guidance will help them to be successful throughout their lives.  I am delighted to be a faculty member at STS.
