The Dia de los Muertos is a cultural reverence for the souls of decreased ancestors that comes from the Mexican culture. Our students will be studying this aspect of culture during their Spanish classes. As a school we will be creating a central alter in the main office reception on which they can place their ofrenda consisting of a picture of their loved one and a small remembrance of them. Our altar will be up from Monday, October 28 through Friday, November 8.
Watch for more specific information coming home about the ofrenda and the forms to indicate those deceased you would like us to pray for.
