The NEW St. Theresa Library is a traditional, quiet space to read and study combining classroom teachings and inspire lifelong learning - Preschool visits each week for a 10 minute read-aloud story time. Parents are invited to visit before or after school to check out books with their preschooler.
Kindergarten through 4th grade visit weekly for 30 minutes allotting time for read-aloud, book selection and check-out. Read-aloud themes change according to seasons and classroom topics. Students are encouraged to choose age-appropriate books, navigating the library independently. Kindergarten and 1st grade may check-out one book; 2nd through 4th grade are welcome to check out two or more books per week.
5th - 8th grade visit independently on an as needed basis for classroom research and projects. Books are available for check-out.
Throughout the day the library is open to students and teachers and may be used for a variety of activities including but not limited to:
- Test taking
- Middle school research and assignments
- After school homework/quiet study
- Tutoring sessions
- Book return and checkout
