The St. Theresa School Library is a modern, quiet space to read and study combining classroom teachings and inspire lifelong learning.
Preschool visits each week for a read-aloud story time and can check out age appropriate books.
Kindergarten through 4th grade visit weekly allotting time for read-aloud, book selection and check-out. Read-aloud themes change according to seasons and classroom topics. Students are encouraged to choose age-appropriate books, navigating the library independently.
5th - 8th grade visit independently on an as needed basis for classroom research and projects. Books are available for check-out.
Throughout the day the library is open to students and teachers and may be used for a variety of activities including but not limited to:
- Test taking
- Middle school research and assignments
- After school homework/quiet study
- Tutoring sessions
- Book Return and check out
All students are invited to participate in the
Birthday Book Club.
Once enrolled in the program, the student will receive a brand new book to read (parent suggestions encouraged), their name displayed on the birthday book club poster, a pencil, an eraser, a bookmark, and a small gift from the treasure box. When the student is done with the book, it is added to the catalog for others to enjoy with a label stating their name and donation year.
