First grade is an exciting place to be!  Watching students sore as they learn and blossom is amazing at this age!  As a first grade teacher, I am committed to ensuring each child feels confident, capable and celebrated!  I aim to develop enriching and engaging lessons that stretch the thinking for my students and provide them with a learning experience necessary for academic success!

I love teaching first grade! Being a part of the St. Theresa family and primary team is such a wonderful gift.  I enjoy coming to school and seeing the joy on my students faces when they talk about their family and their love for Jesus. They are so excited to learn and I am lucky to be their teacher.

I have been married to my wonderful husband for 30+ years. We have 3 wonderful adult children, and are blessed with 2 beautiful grandchild. When I am not teaching I enjoy biking and sitting in my backyard with a good book.

Mrs. Lisa Lahart

2nd Grade Teacher, Primary Grades Team Leader

I think every student deserves a learning environment that is fair, positive and supportive.  Using the power of thinking, students learn to problem solve and connect content to everyday life.

In my spare time I love to run, play hockey, and spend time with family and friends.

Miss Ariana Cilia

Mrs. Emily (Vollmert) Walczynski

2nd Grade Teacher

As an educator, I'm most passionate about meeting students where they're at both academically and emotionally. I'm a firm believer that each student has their own unique and God-given talents. Recognizing that everyone is different and everyone belongs is the key to creating a supportive classroom family. I'm honored to walk alongside my students in their faith journey as they prepare for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion.

Outside of school, I enjoy teaching dance classes at my childhood studio, going on walks, and spending time with family and friends!

I am delighted to continue my teaching career at St. Theresa School. Our family has been St. Theresa parishioners for over 30 years and we love the sense of community here!  Teaching is my passion. The opportunity to connect with students on their continued journey with Christ, while integrating academics into this journey is a privilege. I have a special interest  in helping students understand life skills through a social emotional lens.

I truly enjoy being a member of this outstanding community.  As an intermediate grade teacher, I try to help children draw connections between what they are learning to what they already know and have experienced as well as foster an appreciation and love for our Catholic faith.

Whether we have our feet planted firmly investigating our planet or we're shooting for the stars, there is something for everyone here at the STS Intermediate Science Lab. Together we imagine, create and problem solve.

I enjoy reading and travel, especially exploring the different regions, habitats and National Parks throughout our country.

Medina

Mrs. Silvia Medina

Spanish Teacher grades K-5

St. Theresa School is a wonderful place to work. Students in grades K-5 are hungry to learn to a second language!

I enjoy helping my students  learn how to communicate in another language, and understand the importance of being bilingual in today's society. For me, It is rewarding to hear them speak Spanish with family and friends!
